in camera privacy there is actually 2 toggles.

1.) turn on the web cam
2.) allow access to web cam

then restart obs to be shure and should come up when selecting device, mine was not showing in select device till after i did this.

I had a different program using the webcam which was resolved by restarting but could be simpler to just turn off the other webcam programs. Thanks for the help!

I had to close the program Logitech G HUB to make my Logitech Brio 500 (webcam) show up in OBS.

Deleting it and creating the source again solved it for me. Thanks!

All you have to do is go to your scenes, then your webcam source, click properties, check “reactive when not in use” for all your sources and scenes.

Thankyou! It was that my webcam was connected to another recording software!

I uninstalled using Revo uninstaller (free version) to make sure it got all registry changes made, reinstalled and OBS could see my webcam. I think I probably toggled a setting in OBS myself that caused the issue as I could always see the camera in Windows.

So my Webcam was working then camera image froze went to deactivate/reactivate now Webcam won't show in obs at all however it shows in discord and streamlabs

Sometimes, just deactivating the cam the reactivating it works for me.

I have the razor kiyo pro and i had there app open adjusting the settings well since I had the camera opening for the app, it wouldn’t pop up on my OBS but once I close the app, the camera popped right up if anybody has that specific camera that was my issue
