This video must be old. No one talks about this subject or any other "culture sensitive" subjects in Britain anymore.
As an Arab who arrived in the UK a few years ago, I find that things are moving backwards. I bet no tv channel is willing to even consider discussing this subject today because of fear of hurting people's feelings. And if someone *dares* to speak about this, they'll be black-listed and called a rac!st.
"It's their culture, " everyone says. Yes, but not when children are involved; not when mutilation is involved.
Just imagine if some guy today says to you that his God asked him to cut some body part in his name? First of all, hello schizophrenia; the guy must've lost it big time. Secondly, cut a body part? Put him in jail or a mental asylum indefinitely. And yet, here we are. Centuries after some nutter started this hideous "trend, " people still practice it!

If you surgically remove 1 finger in each of your child’s hands, it doesn’t mean that the hands won’t perform their intended tasks. Would you consider it being beneficial for your child because a tooth fairy ordered it? And so, should the law allow it even though it cannot be categorically proven that the parents are acting in the child’s best interest?

I understand that if you lived amongst nomadic tribes of Iron Age in the Middle East, with no access to running water, the only way to force the parents to mutilate their children and save them from often deadly I imagine urinary infections was to make circumcision a divine order.

We don’t live in such times and as more information can be accurately recorded, retained and we understand that gods can only hide in the shadows of unanswered yet questions, to mutilate your child can only be referred to as barbaric and unethical.

I’m a Muslim and I have not circumcised my son. When he’s old enough to make his own mind up he can choose for himself. As a dad, I just can’t take my baby to have bits cut off him. Not gonna happen.
