Thanks for showing us a way to quickly populate/sync the data. For some reason, fetching images doesn't work when a frame is used as a placeholder for an image. A rectangle should be used for this to work.

Do you know if the variant control ONLY works with components within the same file? For example, I tried placing a library component within my file and using the "state=" label... and it doesn't work ☹

ok discovered. it didn't work for me when i only had one of the variants selected within the group. but once i copied an instance outside the group it worked great.
