I have this and it is great for car audio. I use it to set my gains on amplifiers.

And yours came with a thermocouple - handy to have.

That is pretty cool. I'm pretty reluctant to take my good bench scope out and balance it on the windshield washer tank. This would be more appropriate, and less of a financial risk should it fall.

You know, I think I have that exact same one from BG and I thought the same as you at first but I think a reasonable quality DMM + one of the Hantek or equivalent hand held scopes would be a better match than this. To each their own, but those dedicated handheld scopes have come a long long way!
