my teacher made me cry, was racist, gave me extremely difficult exams, told me that my future was worthless, lied to my parents, loved female students (but she was a woman), had group punishments, humiliated me, hated me personally, readed grades out loud, yelled at me, stood behind me (and it was REALLY creepy), fixed places in the class, gave us homework during the vacation, keeped us after the bell rang, refused to let us go to the bathroom (once my classmate peed in his bottle), ignored me (partly because of my weight because I'm autistic, so she might have found me annoying), gave us surprise tests, had favorite students, made us read aloud, took our phones, gossiped about us, sent my classmate to the principal, lied to us, and of course did the last 2 (how I love studying in Ukraine😍)

I refuse to believe most of these aren't that common, I'd always hear from my friends that they have/had cruel teachers

In 11th grade, my Economics teacher taught sitting down. He was on a wheelchair, so it didn’t really matter anyway

This is a true incident that happened in a school where my Mom was working as a teacher.
She was teaching casually in the class, when she heard a loud bang from another class. She thought somebody fell or so, so she didn't mind it.
In the lunch break, her colleague ( another female teacher) told her that she was teaching when she asked a kid ( he was in senior class, probably 11th grade) a question, he didn't know the answer and was not even paying attention although it was important.
She hit him accidently (she as in my mom's friend) as she was angry on him.
The student then slapped her back so loudly, the bang was of that same slap he hit her.
When she reported to the principal, the principal said it was her fault and she should've apologized to the student.
She said, "I know what I did was wrong, but he hit me back. Hitting a teacher is also wrong. Especially if you're student."
The principal didn't agree and so she resigned and never returned again.
It was a sad incident but also wrong.

I'm a special needs guy and I went to a high school that lied about being an autism-friendly environment. The school was corrupt and they abused special needs kids including me and had a lot of bullies. My brother went there too and was picked on by thugs in his class and the teacher did nothing. I dropped out in Year 11 while my brother left in Year 9 so we're both free. But we've never been the same ever since. I have PTSD and my brother actually developed an eating disorder from which he's recovered now.

My old teacher would hit kids, make them cry, and gave us homework that was meant to be for students 2 grades above us. I don't remember how long she's been teaching for, but she still is sadly

I totally agree. Homework was made as a punishment, SO WHY IS IT MANDATORY NOW!?

In high school, I had a physics teacher who was proud of the fact that, if you listened to EVERY things he taught and studied like crazy you would be able to BARELY pass on of his tests. Also, since the official test (it was an AP course) didn't require a perfect score to get a 5, or for you to do all the part II questions, he didn't teach many of them and told us to skip those (so, when the actual test came, we had none of the flexibility of choice we were supposed to in decision.)

Though to be fair, there are two afterwards in this story. One, the next year was biology, which I excel at, so I (who all but failed the physics class) ended up with the Science Scholar award at the end of the year, and, as head of the Department, HE had to present it.

And second, I have largely forgiven him. He said he did things the way he did to prepare us for the actual college experience, and he was ultimately right.

When I was in 5th grade, we had this REALLY nice teacher that protested about homework. She absolutely hated it because she almost couldn't be teacher because if homework. Grade 5th year was probably the best year of my life.

One time my teacher gave us a test about something we didn’t learn yet, then taught it later. She didn’t even let us retake it! Also yelled at us for not understanding something she barely taught us, and my mom and aunt work at the school. So she got them into the classroom to tell me “you understand this. You just don’t wanna put it on the paper.”

Theres this one person who watches everyone while we are learning idk why and when I'm doing work they stand behind me for like 7 minutes just watching me. And for some reason it's really hard to learn when some adult is just staring at my work

My teachers made a student cry, sat down while teaching, be unmotivated, not using the black board, had a favourite female student (the teachers were a female too but some were a boy as she was mature and polite), humiliate students, personally hate a student, read grades out loud, yell at students, fixed place in class, homework during vacation (every time, even in kindergarten), keep you after bell rings (if someone didn’t finish their work sometimes), refuse to go to toilet, giving surprise tests (aka surprise dictations), have a favourite student, make students read out loud, forget student’s name, gossip about students, give homework.. pretty much everything but only a quarter of stuff left they haven’t done. I’m not sure, but I only think that someone lied to a student. Not quite sure though.

I understand most of them, but what is wrong with not using the blackboard(some teaches do things that don't require the blackboard), forget the students name (they have thousand of students, will you remember thousands of names?) or make the students read out loud(if it is a reading class is literaly necesary)

I actually did go to the principal once but it wasn’t for me. In prep, I had to take another student to the principals office and I heard so much yelling to the point where it was gonna make me cry because I was only like 6 or 7.

My teacher has humiliated me, and sent me to the principal, and given group punishments, made students cry, and I know who is his most hated student. Along with that he has bad breath.

My teacher used to read grades out loud and all the class loved it (Mainly to compare our grades)

Giving homework during vacation is the worst thing indeed!
