Here are the signs you’re an old soul and think differently! You’ve probably heard the term before, but may not understand what it really means to be an old soul. In essence, you can describe an old soul as someone who thinks and behaves much older than they actually are. They demonstrate the knowledge and wisdom of older age, and they possess a strong sense of inner worth. Old souls convincingly create an impression of possessing experience that they can’t possibly have.

Being an old soul means you are mature beyond your years. You are also highly sensitive and highly intuitive. And while you may come across as somewhat strange to your peers, your authenticity makes you someone others like to confide in.

This rare breed can end up feeling lonely and longing for a partner (or friend) similar to their “old soul” disposition - which is almost impossible to find at younger ages. I know because someone very close to me is an old soul and i’ve seen the other side of being an old soul - the hurt and sadness that sometimes accompanies these wonderful people. I'm definitely an old soul. Spending time alone at home & socializing with the elderly has always giving me much comfort. They have so much wisdom to offer & you can actually learn from their past mistakes. Best advise was take care of your health while your young, save money, & don't concern yourself with people think of you. Plus, watch who you hang around with. Your friends don't always have you best interest at heart like your parents do.

I have always considered myself as an old soul. Due to the fact when I was younger I always tried to hang around adults. I cherish them when they talk about. What happened back in their days. I love being an old soul. This all hits me to a tee. My favorite saying is Live and let live. I don’t get into all the latest trends and fashions. I grew up hanging around more of my older family members than the younger ones. I love old pictures, music, movies and stories. This generation now is too selfish and very rude.

All of this resonate with me. I keep being told that I am still so young (I'm 33), and that I shouldn't worry about anything, just go out there and have fun, that I take too much of responsibility for people around me or for my work, that I overthink stuff. I always was "too serious" for my age for most people, or too "boring" for my peers, cus I'd rather sit at home learning something than go out there and socialize just for the sake of not being alone. That's just how my brain is wired, I guess. I don't follow any current trends, hypes or fashion. I stick to my old ways, my own experiences, I have a sentiment for places that I visited already and re-visit them, I love classical music, I'm fascinated by history, I always preferred the company of older people from whom I could learn something valuable. I find it difficult to live in the moment and enjoy life in general, as I don't find many like-minded people around.

These things absolutely resonate with me! When I was a kid, I remember loving to hang around with senior citizens because I loved the conversations. And my ex-husband used to complain a lot about why I loved my cup of tea every evening, and the fact that I had way too many books bugged him too 😂 And even at my age now, I've also been accused of liking things that normally "old ladies" like. And I use things until they actually break or stop working before buying new. There's no drive to own the newest & best of things and I don't give a crap whether people think that I'm weird. And I hate following trends, I just follow my own 😉
