How to use the SP 555 Loop Capture feature

Welcome back to the channel. In this video I'm back on the SP555 to show you how awesome the loop capture is on it. This took a few minutes of sitting down and reading the manual to figure out but now ive realised its a game changer or making raw lofi loops!

I've read on the sp forums that you can use (i think) the resample while the loop is playing to avoid using save-to-pad so you can save on the fly without having to stop the looper. This would be good to save the your loop before overdubbing. I think I was successful with it.
the loop capture only does 15 seconds in mono I think, Its limited in that way but smaller loops its perfect for!

Max free running record time on the Loop Capture is 15 sec, but you can resample from it as it's playing I believe

Cool, I actually am offered a cheap used sp555 and im thinking if i should get it. I already own a 202 and a 404A, but i saw on your last video, you mentioned how the buttons are better than on the 404's (i heard the OG and the SX are ok while the A is the worst).
Also, can you (or anyone else) tell how are the effects compared with the 404? Are they totally identical in practicality? I know the vinyl sim sounds different, so how are other effects?

I can see one for around 450 pounds. Is that above or below usual? I got 404mkii And MPC one+. Thinking is there any point in grabbing it

Thanks for the video! Has anyone gotten good results using the foot switch option to start recording with loop capture? I tried my Boss FS-5U and there is too much latency for it to be useful.
