This week I am sharing an original song called "Daddy's Eyes". I wrote this song a few years back when a girl friend of mine lost her father.

This is probably the best song I've ever heard involving a girl who's lost her dad. When I sing along I can't make it past "Daddy, I know you're listening, " without breaking down. Don't even get me started on the achingly beautiful reprise of the chorus. You managed to capture that blend of loss, of hope, of longing, etc., that comes with losing someone. Thank you for this. You've helped me remember that my Daddy is listening.

This song reminds me of my niece who lost her Daddy (my brother) in 2002 in a car accident. She just completed her first year of college, and even if she doesn't have her daddy's eyes.. she is beautiful no matter what. Thanks for this song. :)

My dad just passed away in Sept 2010 unexpectedly. My mother and all my family tell my brother and I we have our dads eyes and his huge heart. One of my first thoughts on the day my dad died was who is going to walk me down the isle when I get married. This song is so beautiful and it is well written. You are truly talented.
