What is Ingrid on about? Camilla is doing what she has done for decades as a steadfast supporter of the Monarchy, if anything less so now due to age ailment limitations. To put it in perspective, in her 60s Camilla and Charles did the majority of the long haul Royal travel, her total engagements sometimes rivalled that of Charles and Anne and were more than William, Catherine and Harry combined and she still topped those of William, Catherine and Sophie and was on par with Edward last year. (not that engagements is the only measure of work, just the measure Ingrid focused on). Most of her engagements, like those of the skeleton Royal crew, have been solo and hers are particularly involved.

So true that people are behind the King and very appreciative of Queen Camilla's efforts. I'm a former political staffer in a Commonwealth country where the monarch is the head of state. I came to realize that a constitutional monarchy is the best form of democracy yet invented when that system prevented a disgraceful political coup that no one in the country actually wanted -- and which couldn't have been prevented in a republic. God Save the King and Queen and the Prince and Princess of Wales.

Catherine is undergoing *preventative* cancer treatment which is different to chemotherapy. I know, I have cancer and despite weekly treatments in hospital, I conduct a very comfortable and painless life. For HM King Charles to be back, these are wonderful news. It is the best thing he can do to be with his community, the Commonwealth representatives - all of us.

Yeah, being Queen Consort has alot of responsibilities that go with it.
Only the strong survive.
Maybe Queen Elizabeth might have had some complaints too, sometimes, but her love for her people and the world, kept her going.
And definately her strong sense of duty!!!
I guess being a queen (an effective queen), is something that you really have to love doing, and not be just because it was handed to you, by commission or of default.
And it's certainly not to be used as a source of power and control.
(Or abuse of power and control).
I'm sure that Queen Elizabeth knew and understood about power, so I'm glad that Elizabeth had the power for so long, because it can be a dangerous thing in the wrong hands! 😲
