The Holy Roman Empire (essentially Germany and central Europe) is not the same territory as the Eastern Roman empire (aka Byzantine). Totally different empires.

How did you guys forget the Battle of Grunwald? It was one of the last great battles of the Middle Ages. The majority of the Teutonic Order commanders died, including the Grand Master Ulrich von Jungingen.

I can't believe they didn't include Grunwald (July 15, 1410) or Towton (March 29, 1461), both of which were far bloodier than many of the others on this list.

Eastern Roman Empire has almost no relations to the Holy Roman Empire. Their lands don’t even overlap.

Bloodiest Medieval Battles, and yet no mention of the Battle of Grunwald (15.VII.1410), considered the largest land battle of medieval Europe.

What is this? Is this the Bloodiest Battles or the most famous battles, cause there are clearly number of other battles in medieval era which had more casualties rate
Also i personally plea this video maker to search the definition of Siege VS Battles cause i am pretty sure sieges are fought when one side has a foritified area and battles don't have that

'The fall of Constantinople' should be higher on the list for the fact that it was the major contributor to the world today. It essentially blocked the silk and spice route from Asia to Europe, prompting the sea voyages to find the alternate trade route which ultimately resulted in the modern discovery of Americas, conquering and enslavement of several Asian and African countries by British, French and Dutch etc. It basically shaped the history of the world for the modern times.

What made Agincourt such a bloodbath was that the French nobles and their knights were willing to run down and even strike down the lesser ranked/social standing troops of their own army. Scores of French troops drowned in mud while English longbow men picked off what remained. Also many French nobles in the rear seemingly did not treat this as a battle, many wandered off to feed their horses or warm themselves even as the fighting reached its peak.

Not the biggest, but one really bloody was the Battle of Visby! Fought between Sweden and Denmark. The Swedish are to this day still uncovering new massgraves of the slaugthered swedish peasants that died, some being buried alive. The blood from the battle is said to have covered the streets from outside of the walls all the way down to the cities docks.

3:02 It wasn't the post-roman empire, it was still the Roman Empire. 3:31 there is no "once again", the Holy Roman Empire isn't the same as the Eastern Roman Empire.
