eBike Fat Tire | Flat Tire Repair With FLATOUT

I switched to FlatOut for ebike fat tire repair and prevention.

On this channel we test and review ebikes and accessories. Its our goal to help you find the perfect ebike. When we review an electric bike, we don't simply ride it once and make a video, we ride it for 50-100 miles to get familiar with all it has to offer, then we make a video. But we don't stop there, we will make follow up videos as we continue to ride.

I just got back from a ride. A total of 11.5 miles close to halfway through my ride I started hearing a strange noise coming from the rear of my bike. I pulled in to a convenient store and looked at my rear tire to see what the noise was and there was a 5/8” bolt head sticking out of my tire. I pulled it out. Tire went flat. pushed my bike over to the air compressor and re-inflated it to 20# rode home because I wasn’t real sure, and didn’t want to get stranded anywhere. When I got home I checked the pressure in the tire and I still had 20#. I ride an E bike because after my stroke and the fact that I am 67 and arthritic, my old mountain bike just wasn’t hacking it anymore. I do have a tire pump but since I put Flat Out with Kevlar in my tubes. I have kind of gotten overconfident. I may have to put the tire pump back in lol. Just in case if there isn’t a convenient store nearby next time.

I've been going back and forth on this. Thanks for nailing it down. . . No pun intended.

I use Flat Out. No flats yet but watching video reviews of different products for flat prevention and it’s always the top performer.

I've used slime and flat out extensively, and I would give the edge to flat out, but slime is also a pretty solid product. I feel like flat out is better for bigger punctures, but slime still absolutely does the job when use correctly and in the appropriate amount. I feel like people's biggest issues with these sealants, is that they don't use enough, nor do they understand that the solution has to cover the puncture, for the product to work.

I use flat out, been in tire over 2 years no flat. Without it I get 2 flats per year. So far so good

I just put in on my fat tire Aventon. Had some issues. It went in good in rear tire not so much in the front tire. I had to keep clearing the valve in the front tire because it would not go in. The second issuer was both tires coming off the rim when inflating. I had better luck turning the bike over to take weight off the tires.

Great advice on lifting the bike to allow for proper filling!

Oh, using these sealant are very helpful. Makes tire more sturdy or very hard at less then PSI level. I run over things of the loud sound it makes when tire runs over it thinking it maybe a puncture many times but my tires still up and up of being studs on the pavement. I mean loud sounds of tire riding over the debris of flicking them out and away, like many small rocks.

Excellent video and well explained and best of all, no annoying background music that drowns out the person speaking. Thank you and just ordered the product on amz.

Thank you! Very helpful! Spring is here and I’m ready to ride, but needed to fix my tire first.

Nice video Richard. Your explanation was very good and I also think Flat Out is a much superior product.

I have about two 32 once well I think that is what they are. I'm expecting the delivery of another HJM 3 wheel trike to be delivered. I bought two bottles about three months ago but had my trike stolen from out side the grocery store. My next trike I'm putting three very high quality locks on it with a alarm to boot. Don't think one lock is enough have a variety of them on it. I'm using flat out because I ride five miles in the pitch dark into town to shop and needles to say even with the bike light I'm not likely to see anything laying in the road. Thank you for the video.

Excellent video! Straight to the subject stated in the title and no 5-10min intro with way to LOUD music. Just got another like and new sub! I do truly appreciate the American Flag you’re flying on your home, me too. God bless and stay safe!

Great video! You said you might take a pouch for a friend, so if you get a flat on the road and you do not already have Flat Out in the tire, what do you do? Just fill the tire with Flat Out on the road the same way? So you can do it after the fact, after the puncture?

Can I take a tube filled with flat out and put in another rim? Or is it just best to fll a new tube of taking tube out from fixed rim of deflating tube to put in another rim??
