I’m sure it’s not very cost-effective, but this guy should turn this into a business! I would feel a lot better buying a power bank knowing that I just prevented a bunch of batteries from entering a landfill.

I ended up with over 2, 700 disposable units when California banned the flavor sales. The batteries in these things are impressive and I have five different sizes including the same batteries I need for all of my little drones. This means that I always have 40 or 50 batteries fully charged and ready to go. I also have converted all of my gate openers to lithium ion because some of these were rechargeable units and I was able to rip the type-c charger out of them. I'm actually building a couple different power banks with them right now but the key to doing this is making sure that you find the right balanced batteries before you build and make sure that you put some kind of battery management system in them because these are also the same batteries that grenade in people's pockets.

Smart, very very smart and utilitarian!!

This guy needs to be given some kind of govt grant and left to his own devices so that hopefully he comes up with more positive inventions like this one that reuses otherwise toxic products that are typically just thoughtlessly tossed into the garbage once they've reached the end of their useful lives, just like what he's done here!!

Ukrainian volunteers make whole power racks using this batteries. We actually have loads of places where you can donate used vape, and it will be recycled for such powerbank

Got a mate at work who collects them off the floor, harvests the batteries and builds larger ones. He made me a recharge battery for a 90s tape boom box to replace the 6 D cells
