As a kid, I loved red velvet cake. Little did I know it was just food coloring and artificial flavoring. Red food dye is linked to some major health problems.

The food industry pumps out 15 million pounds of food dye into our food supply. You might not be eating anything with red food dye, but your kids might be.

Food dyes are in foods, such as:
• Baked goods
• Candy
• Pie filling
• Cake frosting
• Cake mix
• Fruit snacks
• Cereals
• Strawberry filling
• Red sodas

Potential symptoms of consuming red food dye:
• Hyperactivity
• Allergies
• Increased risk of cancer
• Increased estrogen
• DNA damage

My daughter had reactions to red food dye back in the early 1980’s. Fortunately I had a pediatrician who had me eliminate red food dye from our diet. She had Arthrits symptoms and they disappeared as soon as I removed all sources. Remember that red is in orange and purple drinks etc.

It makes me so angry that these company's are still making this toxic stuff, if governments banned these products the hospitals would not be under pressure with sick people

It’s like the only thing that is safe to eat is organic, grass fed, free range, pasture raised water.😄

It's in pet food too, I finally figured out what was making my dog itch to the point she was miserable. I got her off all artificial colors but specifically red and she is doing so much better.

Remember in the 80’s when they discovered a link between red food dye and cancer, then m&ms canceled the red m&m??

I switched my kids to low carb which means they eat keto 70% of the time but I let them have any fruit and vegetables they want. I have seen so many changes in them. The most obvious is everyone loses weight (they were skinny to begin with) and their attitudes have greatly improved. My son in particular has had way less angry outbursts. I never want to go back to high carb.

I love ❤️ red Velvet cake, especially making it from scratch. I saw here on YouTube that Bigger, Bolder, Baking with Gema, she used beet juice for the red dye. I just may have to try it to see how it taste in my future red Velvet cakes.

Wasn't a red dye banned back in the 70s because it was found to be carcinogenic? Nothing has changed😒

Notice the huge increase in Autism, ADHD and learning disabilities since 1976 when food makers really ramped up artifical colors, flavors, preseveratives.

One of my young cousins back in the 70s was very hyper active. My mother noticed that he always had orange pop. She talked to my uncle about it and said to try taking it away. Totally different kid afterwards.
