I’m sorry if I sound condescending, but as a person with a high pain tolerance. I’ll always applaud people who have a low pain tolerance or are afraid of needles but still get that piercing anyway. It takes a lot of bravery to have that resolve to even like 5 seconds

I have a septum. I got it for $20 cause it was a deal. A woman who NEVER pierced a septum before did mine. I didn’t cry, because I was in shock, I then fainted 2 minutes later while my mum was paying.😭 the professional who was there and talking the new comer through the process caught me before I fell after he saw the signs of passing out. (I got it on my 13th. I’m now 14.)

I just got mine done today, and my previous piercings were 1 set of mall lobes, and 1 set of lobes I did myself. I'd rate the septum on the same pain level as doing my own earlobes, maybe a bit higher. I stopped noticing the pain after an hour.

also, my artist was talking to me so much that I was completely distracted when they said "deep breath!" and slipped the needle in. That really helped.

The worst part of getting a septum piercing are the clamps, the pressure is really uncomfortable. The piercing itself shouldn’t hurt too much (at least not for me) if it goes through the ‘sweet spot’ you have. I did get a little teary eyed ngl 😂

I done my septum piercing when I was 17 years old, in the year 1997. It was very painful procedure upto complete healing in my turn.

i got mine done by an AMAZING free-hand piercer for $50 and a $10 tip bc of how great he was. 2/10 on the pain scale definitely (im 14 btw with a medium pain tolerance)

As someone who pierced it them selfs I can say it didnt hurt at all until the end push on the other side as it streches a bit other than that I recomrecommend but would go to a professional if you have no experience with peircings

I’d say mine was a 4/10. The clamps hurt more than the actual piercing and the stinging after pain was more annoying the painful, personally. I’ve had worse but I’ve also had less painful piercings😅

Mine barely hurt, wasn’t even really pain more like a pinching feeling. Even the aftercare has been no problem. I think it’s dependent on who’s doing it and where they place it. It was fast and clean. Anyway, hope it going well for you now.✌🏼

when my septum was pierced it didnt hurt but my eyes watered so i dont think she was crying bc of pain i think that just happens with some ppl

I got my septum done a few days ago actually! The lady had to Pierce my nose twice 😭😭
The first time she pierced my nose was like a 4/10 on the pain scale. But she realized it was crooked when checking it so she had to remove it, and re-pierce my nose a bit further up (barely a millimeter)
And since my nose was already sore from the first time she pierced it the second time she put a needle through my nose was a solid 6/10 😭 but it’s super cute and I love it!

If you pierce the right spot it's not to bad, definitely my most painful piercing tho, like a 4/10
