This is clearly lowbudget but the plot of it seems interesting.

I'm guessing that such rings might be possible.
But these would exhaust all the material that is on earth and it takes a lot of time and money that is not there. And if you look at these structures, how they are anchored, this could lead to a rupture of the earth's crust, since exorbitant forces are at work here. There are mega buildings like an ant hill in Dubai. Kind of reminds me of Elysium. Only this was levitating with Artificial Gravity.


I would be very excited to see this film.

Legit looks intriguing. Good science fiction doesn't need huge budgets or cutting edge special effects. Let's see how hard scifi it is though. I'd like to hear some input by scientists after it comes out.

The size of this ring, almost 1/2 of the earth mass.
If the matter to build this using everything come from earth, it will leave earth half from the original mass. 😨
