During my 30 year LE career I worked w/the Secret Service many times, the last one when President Reagan came to our city. They were always easy to work with, very thorough & extremely professional. The total lapse of security for former President Trump is a mystery to me. Nothing can explain the numerous errors made here, unless this was a purposeful act.

Anything within 1 1/2 miles is the S.S. area to secure. Period! The moment they started 'chatting' about someone on the roof, they should have been on Trump to get him to his vehicle. The S.S. failed miserably at their only purpose. Disgraceful!

As a former Army and also Marine scout sniper, your presentation on terrain appreciation, target acquisition and boundary security is spot on. There is no excuse, and whomever set that security plan out should be fired. I would like to see the range cars of the sniper teams, their clock sectors of fire, and also who made the call on the numbers of SS agents on the ground.
