I have my rtx 3070 and it works perfect for 1440 p gaming. Ryzen 5600x and 32 Gb RAM, it still works nice in 2025.

Msrp is not real. 5070 Ti/9070 XT in EU ~1k $. I bought RX 7800 XT for 500$. Best money value cost and enough for my 3440x1440 34" screen.

Can a 4070 and a Ryzen 7 7700x run at 1440p? I recently upgraded but still have not upgraded my monitor so I am still rocking a 280hz 1080p ips monitor. Should I upgrade to a 1440p oled monitor?

I’m just gonna wait for graphics card prices to go down. It is so bad right now and I want to build a PC. I’m working with a Steam Deck but would like to upgrade by building a real PC in the next 6 months or so. I may wait a year if prices still haven’t gone down.

The fact that FSR4 isn't available on Radeon 7000 series makes FPS comparison to 9070 or 9070 XT pointless. Higher FPS isn't the only metric for gaming experience.

On the Nvidia side, the fps numbers can at least be compared between 4000 and 5000 series, because DLSS4 is supported on 4000 series.

You can buy RX 6800 XT instead of RX 7800 XT. It is like 2% slower and in my country you can find this GPU for 50$ cheaper on used market.
If you have a expensive psu then go for 7800 bc of higher wattage but if its your first pc or you will have a high wattage psu then go for it

My Asus 9070 (non XT) in Hogwarts Legacy hits 160fps @1440p Ultra settings + RT all at ultra..
It would go higher, but I have a max 160fps for Freesync..
