The only jackets I need: Barbour Bedale, Canada Goose Maitland, Carhartt Chore Coat, and a Pendleton Sherling collared coat. Oh, and the KUIU Yukon Rain Jacket.

Great review. Thanks for confirming the sizes. That really helped 👍

I think I'll go for the Bedale over the Ashby. I started lifting again and expect my upper body to grow somewhat. So I'll need the boxier cut of the Bedale, rather than the slim silhouette of the Ashby.

Hi I'm a size 36 your store only has 38 online. Which other site do you recommend to order online. Thank you

The Bedale is my 2nd Barbour jacket, the Ogston is my first. Both are good & both can dress up or put to work but I just find that the Bedale more utilitarian then the Ogston which is why the Bedale is my work jacket while the Ogston is more my “dress” jacket. Again both good jackets & you can just trust Barbour when it comes to wax jackets.

The trouble with waxed coats is that whenever it rains I head to either the car or the coffee shop, but if I were a country lad I can understand it. I wonder if city boys ever re-wax.

I have read that sizing is rather large on these. I have the sapper in large bought from your store last year, what size would you recommend in the bedale classic please?

Some info on the inside pockets would have been useful. Even Barbour don't publish this info on their website!

Love the brand, but the sizing ???
At 6ft, and a non athletic 15st 5, im an xl in everything .
My xl bedale that i just bought online is big with a fleece.
I also own 2 xl barbour nylon jackets that fit fine .
My xxl duke i sold was too tight and
Xxl Parka was too big .
I would expect to buy up or down a size when buying a coat made in china on the label but not an English brand .😢

I bought the Ashby just got it today. This jacket is too tight around deltoids when raising elbows, completely uncomfortable for $400 is ridiculous. This is not the only brand that is tailoring like this. I have a proof from huckberry field jacket, same shit. You lift your arms entire jacket comes up too tight but on the outside it’s a nice fit until you lift your arms. I don’t understand this. Is the bedale tailored like this ?
