Well, orphan’s benefit was Donald’s second appearance, so perhaps his voice wasn’t crystallized yet.

(edit: I liked House of Mouse series. Just that particular special bugged me >_< ) Howdy! It was nice to get a chance to chat about Mickey again. Was planning "Worst Cartoon Theme songs" next and was wondering if you had any recommendations? Thanks for your input :)

I used to love Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas when I was younger, but after rewatching it last Christmas I never realized how mean-spirited, annoying, and poorly animated the movie really is. The original Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas is fine, but did we really need a sequel???

Did you know: Pluto's Party was originally going to be named
"Pluto Getting Bullied By Mickey & Mickey's Nephews Until He Wants To Go Full On Genocide On Mickey's Family"?

Honestly, the biggest problem the House of Mouse Christmas Special suffers is, when you stop and think about it... being snowed in should've been absolutely no problem at all. 1, you've got both Genie and Jafar, both of whom have magic that could easily clear away or melt the snow. 2, Hades, a guy with hair literally made of fire, is there too.

And those are just the most obvious characters who come to mind that could easily solve the problem.

Being snowed in shouldn't have been an issue at all for anyone at the House of Mouse during that special

The emu is not the bad bird of Australia. That honor goes to the Cassowary.

“In fact, everything else in Australia is incredibly aggressive, but the emus are fine.”

A certain event called the Emu wars beg to differ.

Twice Upon a Christmas was very unsettling, especially the animation shift. Goofy and Max are the only ones who didn’t act out of character. At least the CG in the preschool shows is actually enjoyable.

Ohh, your Australian. And all this time I was thinking you were British.

What a coincidence.. Josh uploads while I'm in Disney World! (That also means I cannot watch it until later.)

I actually like both _Mickey's Magical Christmas: Snowed in at the House of Mouse_ (which I only realized back in December 2017 when I went to rewatch it for Christmas had such a long title) and _Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas, _ though _Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas_ is better.

Actually, "Orphan's Benefit" is from 1934, while the version from 1941 that you looked at is a remastered version. This is also why Donald is so poorly voiced in this short, because the original version of the short was his second ever appearance, and the first of which to have his signature character traits.

The version of "Orphans' Benefit" seen here may be from 1941, but it's actually a color remake updating the looks of all the characters while using the same audio from the black-and-white 1934 original. At the time of the original, Donald's voice was still in the process of being perfected, as it was his first year, which is why it seems so off in the remake.

And how does Mickey Mouse still stay young after 90 years to this day?

I can actually imagine you in the Christmas special with the step mother's face.

I too also found Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas a little messed up. The characters are obviously outta place. First, Daisy sabotages Minnie's performance on ice when really she should've bee supporting Minnie. Second, Donald just wants peace and quiet but suffers, and third, Mickey gets angry at Pluto and throws him out for an accident he didn't mean to do even when he was sorry for it? What the MARC? The only thing I do find pretty awesome is the story Christmas Maximus where Max brings home his girlfriend to meet Goofy. I really love Max's girlfriend Mona in there. Mona is impressed by pictures of Max doing extreme sports like that biking and stuff but also really adored by Max's baby pictures and kid pictures. I even love how she joins Goofy n the goofiness. Despite the popcorn machine going haywire and making the house blow out popcorn with Max Mona and Goofy flying out. I even love the scene where Mona and Goofy both kiss Max and both really love him.

Even when I was younger I thought Mickey's attitude towards Pluto in Mickey's twice upon a Christmas was out of character, it actually scared me a little.

I don't understand why cartoons like Pluto's Party are out there. I'm like you where I just feel so bad for the character. It's not funny, it's frustrating. I get that, as Nostalgia Critic says, all humor is based on suffering, but there's a point where you overdo it.
Also, don't forget the blue ringed octopi that can be found on the shores of Australia! And that's actually a Portuguese Man-o-War picture you showed, not a jellyfish. :)
