NEW Updates - Adobe Lightroom Classic 10!!!

This week, Adobe is rolling out updates to Adobe Lightroom Classic 10. This update brings us enhanced UI performance, Live Tethering support for Canon cameras, 2 new enhanced zooming features and the new Color Grade panel. We also get RAW file support for several new cameras and lenses - most notably the Fujifilm X-S10, Panasonic S5, Sony A7S III and Sony A7C.

The new color grade tool is similar to what we've seen in video editing applications. It gives you HSL control over the Highlight, Midtone and Shadow areas of images in the Develop Module.

Very excited for the HSL color wheels. That has to be the feature I wanted most for LR.

Great video Ted. It’s good to see you are safe in these difficult times. It looks like some great improvements to Lightroom. More videos like this please.

Adobe is responding to the growing video creator community, which includes me. Very interesting; can't wait to try these color grading changes for myself.

You can also use CTRL and Shift in the Color Grading for extra control

The zoom updates are the most important for me. Huge improvement. I’m still confused as to why LR doesn’t allow truly localized HSL control via the adjustment brush. For example, in Ted’s flower image, you might want to adjust the colours in the foreground flower only and not affect the background flowers. Maybe Adobe holds back certain features to make us jump over to Photoshop?

Thanks Ted. BTW you forgot to mention that when using the Split Toning 3 wheels you can hold down the CTRL or ALT or SHIFT keys to micro adjust the position of the sliders inside the wheel to get finer control of the actual colors/saturation. keep it up

Missed this years Adobe conference but always know I can rely on your channel for the important updates. The slide controls for colors look dope, will see how to incorporate them into the workflow ^^

Tethered live view for Canon....anytime you're ready to offer that option for my D750 too Adobe. Any time you're ready

Could you use this feature for color matching, or better to still use curves like you showed in your other tutorial?

I have the 2080 Ti card, and LR supports full GPU accell ... BUT if I use Topaz AI as a plugin, I run into all sorts of lock-up issues. To avoid the issues with Topaz, I have to use Custom GPU in LR and select Basic (display only) GPU.

Great added features! I just wish they would adress the shortcuts problems for people who aren't using UK or US keyboards, we can't swotch between "before/after" applying an effect, and it would be so handy… But I don't think they even care (so many other shortcuts aren't available on non-qwerty keyboards…).

Adobe has been doing an amazing job with Lightroom and Photoshop

I’m glad they’re implementing more capture one type things into LR because switching over to CP1 would be inconvenient

good update, I guess local adjustments are still limited to a subset of the global ones unfortunately (i.e. no HSL in local adjustments)

Thanks Ted. As always an excellent, detailed tutorial.

Need to try it but it might be similar to what’s available in capture one
