No mitigation = fire disaster Fire will inevitably destroy every area which has tons of dried and dead brush and trees.

Lord God, provide escape for those in the path of the fire and allow lives to be spared. Hear my prayer Lord, your will be done. I ask this in your holy name Christ Jesus, Amen.

The United States Forest Service began mid-management of forests, brushland and prairies in the mid-1970s. This included wildland fire defensible spaces. Livestock grazing to reduce fuel loading was reduced or eliminated. Managers allowed fire loads to increase from dead and down trees and brush.
I was in wildland fire w/20 person Montana Indian Firefighter crews from 1987 - 2001. We went to several fires in Redding, Big Bear, Orange Co and San Juan Capistrano. Love and prayers to all that are fighting these fires and those who have been affected by US and Cali-fire mismanagement.

How does the state that has the most stringent environmental laws continuously have wildfires over and over and over?

I wonder how FEMA is going to help in CA. See how it contrasts with NC.

Funny how this gets way more coverage than those poor people in Appalachia affected by hurricane helene. Don’t feel bad for these rich people

I am beyond hurt. I visited LA for the first time in 2021. I spent most of my time in Malibu/Palisades/Santa Monica. I fell in love with those areas, the people are remarkable. I pray for them.

How did the fire start? Poor small wild animals and possible left-behind pets...

I spent a week visiting a dear friend that lived in the Palisades, back in 2010. She moved herself and family out several years ago, but I'm sure she has countless friends that still live in the area. This is hard to watch, I'll probably try to contact her today, and give her my sympathies.

You mean to tell me there is a flight restriction in area during a time aerial flight would possibly needed the most. Once again somemore of his disruption of rescue process

KTLA 5 is doing the best coverage of the fire. I live on the borderline of LA and Ventura and have to keep my windows closed because of the smell:(

I remember when 2020 started and Australia was on fire and I thought “wow. There’s no way it can get worse than this this year.” So, buckle up everybody.
