Its not that black holes "let out" any amount of energy, as far as I understand, for other viewers obviously, its that on a quantum level, the vacuum of space boils with particles and antiparticles that cancel each other out, but at the event horizon of a black hole, the antiparticles get generated inside the event horizon and so they don't cancel out the particles, creating energy, breaking the first law of thermodynamics, to make sure it's not actually broken, the universe steals mass from the black hole to balance the scales, and creates hawking radiation

This is what I hate about science people trying to compress knowledge into too much simplicity, Einstein equation, which one he didn't just gave general theory of relativity, heck he didn't even got nobel prize for that, there are many contributions he made to physics, and still he managed to credit him for something he didn't completely solved, shwarzschild solved that equation not Einstein
