Ashoka is definitely a better combatant. However, Qui-Gon is FAR better in the force than Ashoka is, and more intelligent as well.

Many people underestimate Qui Gon. Qui Gon was recognized as one of the most gifted Jedi of his time even by the likes of Darth Plagueis. Qui-Gon is also acknowledged as being one of the best swordsmen ever produced by the Jedi Order and one of their most formidable members. He has been stated to be a peer to Mace Windu in lightsaber combat and having superior dueling skills to his Padawan, Obi-Wan, and has mastered many fighting techniques and combat forms. He also has been shown to be one of the Jedi orders most skilled telepaths and has a deeper connection to the living force than every Jedi of the time. He also fought Count Dooku, who's said to be the best Jedi of his era, 10, 000 times, winning 5, 000 of those. He is easily one of the best Jedi duelists, and would've been a council member. Ahsoka is strong. She can fight against incredibly powerful characters, and face a Maul holding back, but Qui Gon wins high diff.

Qui gon was feared by plagueis and wanted eliminated ASAP as he knew qui gon wasn't like the other jedi. He would single handedly ruin the great plan. The only reason he lost to maul was because he used ataru (form 4) and it is an acrobatic form and so cannot be used in small spaces

nice edit although i do think qui gon is underrated because in a phantom menace when obi wan got kicked down a few levels qui was keeping up with maul very well considering he has two blades and let’s keep in mind i believe qui gon was around 60 during this time so he’s very old considering he can keep up with a very agile and fast villian

QUI GON STOMPS. People who say "Ahsoka beat Maul and Maul beat Qui Gon" really need to shut up. That makes 0 sense. Qui Gon was 60 years old using a fighting style that required more energy then any other fighting style. And he is SIXTY. Not to mention, Maul countered Qui Gon, in the room where Qui Gon eventually was defeated, style 4 was completely useless. Yall make 0 sense.

Qui gon, def, he lost to maul yes and ashoka didnt but lets remember,

1. Maul was a new type of sith the jedi knew very little about so their training and combat skills werent accustomed to them

2. Mauls lightsaber style completely contoured Qui gon

3. Qui gon had to manage two lightsabers at once while also have only one lightsaber himself, ashoke has the assisted 2 sabers to help her and mauls style doesnt counter hers

4. Maul is older and slower and much much weaker than he was in the phantom menace
