Undertale is a 2015 2D role-playing video game created by American indie developer Toby Fox. The player controls a child who has fallen into the Underground: a large, secluded region under the surface of the Earth, separated by a magical barrier. The player meets various monsters during the journey back to the surface, although some monsters might engage the player in a fight. The combat system involves the player navigating through mini-bullet hell attacks by the opponent. They can opt to pacify or subdue monsters in order to spare them instead of killing them. Sans (/sænz/) is the brother of Papyrus and a major character in Undertale. He first appears in Snowdin Forest after the protagonist exits the Ruins. He serves as a supporting character in the Neutral and True Pacifist routes, and as the final boss and heroic antagonist in the Genocide Route.

Insanity Sans is a Sans made by Zero Danteero and currently owned by UTF. In this AT Sans becomes corrupted and eventually murders everybody in the Underground, including his only brother, Papyrus.

Murder!Sans (more commonly known as Dust!Sans) is a Sans OC from the AU Dusttale. This character debuted in an ask blog created by a user named Ask-Dusttale on February 10th, 2016. He was a regular Sans who, upon learning of what the human has done, aims to stop their genocidal actions by slaughtering all of the Underground to acquire enough LV to defeat the human.

Since his original debut, the character has gained high amounts of popularity, earning it thousands of pieces of fanart, comics, animations and even a full-fledged fangame.

The only thing Asgore really sucks at is the fact that he lets his emotions control his judgement and making choices. Even when we only kill Papyrus, the only person Sans has the closest to family is angry and even sad but still does not fight Frisk but just reminds them that they shouldn't have done that. I mean yea sure Asgore had way more responsibility than Sans but still I think things could've been done in a better way than killing 6 humans.

Speed and Hax can arguably go to Sans, but it doesn't exactly account to anything. Asgore still wins no matter how much you stack this in Sans' favor.

Sans only does 1 damage per frame

also for everyone saying sans only does 1 damage, at most: asgore does 8 muffet deals 6 undyne the undying deals 12
sans damage doesn't sound like much but i you say he deals 1/8 of asgore's damage PER FRAME it is a lot more

Controversial opinion. Sans would win... This guy can stop time and has telekinisis. Even without karma he could technically chip asgore to death. (Source for time stop is the scene in grillby's when he talks to the human about flowers and stops grillbly's flame)

I saw a comment that Asgore has more health, and Sans’s attack does 1 damage, and so on... However, if you remember about Karma, then one attack from Sans will become very fatal for Asgore, because the weight of the dead souls of monsters does not compete with the weight of six souls of the dead the man who was taken by Asgore. Having dodged Asgore's attacks and carried out just one in response, Sans will move into a completely different position, because Asgore will be seriously weakened, if not defeated

I mean to be honest if sans and asgore just fought randomly, sans would most likely lose, as the main power that helps him deal damage is Karmic retribution, (KR) and if a monster or human have low LOVE, this power cannot be used meaning sans could only deal one damage at a time with I Frames, maybe it might work as asgore might have a high lv form human killing but I doubt it

I think Asgore wins every time. Sans may be able to dodge human attacks, but can he doge dozens of fire balls? Asgore also has the hp to just tank damage even when he doesn’t doge.

Honestly, Asgore could win this fight by a big amount but sans would put up a fight from his teleportation skills to telekenesis and blasters but yeah since he only does 1KR Damage and asgore can tank a ton he would win easily

Something I just thought about is even if asgore gained love from the humans it wouldn’t make the kr nearly as strong as in the sans fight and also if every human started out like frisk which I’m sure they did then they didn’t have any exp or love to give so asgore would pretty much have no love meaning no kr

Just remember asgore can also dodge considering undyne said she couldn’t even hit him

The only reason he doesn’t dodge in the battle is because he’s holding back

Plus depending on what neutral route you’re in he commits suicide after you beat him

I mean… I feel shortcuts gives sans speed honestly. They can both dodge yes stated by Undyne, but sans can teleport. And can teleport the human. He literally takes you through his short cuts to different restaurants and moves you in battle. Plus I do think Asgore has some hidden abilities, but I feel sans can do more. They both can mess with the menu, but sans literally extended the fighting box to unproportional Length. So I feel Hax goes to sans. Though, I do wonder… how does Asgore contain the souls of humans. If the other humans could load… how did Asgore stop them? That’s some next level power, but again, is that him or something designed by Alphys? Or did they somehow just run out of determination? It’s hard to say. But yeah, I do think people over look how strong Asgore ACTUALLY is compared to monster kind. I tried doing a no heal pacifist run, and he was the only one I couldn’t defeat from not healing. I’m actually able to BEAT SANS without healing, but still not Asgore with 20/20 hp. (I was also using the stick and bandage so that probably didn’t help 😅)

I think a lack of bad karma for asgore is a huge factor and reason asgore wins and even then with the karma factor, asgore probably still wins.
