What "Hell" Did Jesus Descend To?

When I was 8 years old I had my communion and one of the teaching was; that our Lord Jesus Christ went to Haidi in soul the night of the Good Friday to save the prophets souls and take them to Heaven because our Heavenly Father have closed the gates of heaven and no one enter even prophets after the sins that overwhelmed the earth. Only by the blood of Jesus, our Heavenly Father have opened the gates of Heaven again. Lord Jesus by your precious blood You have saved the world. When we pray in Portuguese, we don't say "hell" say He descended to the "mansion of the dead" (mansão dos mortos). 🙏†

He didn’t really descend into Gahenna, he went to “Sheol” or “the waiting place”. The translations to English are the same as “hell” hence why that is what is recited in prayer…

Thank you Father, as I have not yet heard this explanation. I was told that our Lord Savior descended into hell so that He could see firsthand what Hell was like and then ascend to profess it to us in order to help to Save us from these Fires of Eternal Damnation; especially since Lord Jesus warns us, specifically, about the eternal damnation of Hell's Fires in the New Testament!!

When Lord Jesus Christ was on the Cross, the good thief on the cross said to Him, remember me when You reach in Your Kingdom. Jesus replied, today you will be with Me in Paradise, so when He die, He went to Paradise, not to Hell.
