The intake valve is always bigger. I've really been enjoying these explanation videos lately. Keep up the good work.

Great Video! Also red = exhaust valve. The color is due to the hot gasses that pass around it when it opens. If it looks green or asymmetrical, you are going to have a bad day. Keep those CHTs low, people!

Could you make a video where you cover "common indications of an unsafe engine" you could come across during a preflight inspection with an aircraft where you can open up the cowling easily (like a Piper)? If I'm flying a Piper and I open up the cowling, I just look for loose spark plugs, or oil drips, or a loose alternator belt, or any loose hoses. Anything else I should be looking for?

The red one is the inlet valve ... the black one with carbon dioxide is the exhaust vlave😊

Let me try, the small is the exhaust, why, because the cylinder has to keep some heat from combustion, the big valve is big so air and fuel are induce for the right ratio ???

so is no one going to ask about the elephant in the room? ... No? Okay, Ill do it. Hey Jon, what did you do to your thumb to get that GIANT blood blister under the nail?

Exhaust Valve is small face but the stem is bigger than the intake valve because there is an metalic sodium on stem of an exhaust

The exhaust side is always the one with the rust, be it valves, manifolds, what have you. Because moisture is a by product of combustion. Thats why damn exhaust pipes on a car are always frozen with rust.

the lower valve with carbon build up is intake valve, no such build up in exhaust

Can't believe we are still using this otherwise amazing but ancient technology, instead of cold fusion, antigravity motors, etc. anyway. Excellent video.
