I noticed that when you kill the other Yellows, they fall to the Earth, but when you kill the last Yellow (Yellow 13), it just disintegrates. Falls in line with the narrator, who says that Yellow 13 never returned to Earth.

I still think this is the best boss battle in the entire franchise. The buildup for Yellow 13 and Aquila Squadron is excellent, the challenge is definitely there, and you can really feel the ramp up in difficulty when you get to the final Yellow, who I believe is then automatically assigned a more difficult AI to emulate Yellow 13

Yellow Squadron was way more menacing than sol squadron ever was. If it wasn't for Mobius 1 weakening Erusea's best forces years before, Trigger never would've stood a chance!

Farbanti looks WAY COOLER in Ace Combat 04 than it ever did in Ace Combat 7. Wish they hadn't changed it. The way the crater near the submerged district is ominously looming just under the water's surface is incredibly memorable and striking.

One of the best things about this game was the communication during missions, like AWACS saying those things in the start of this mission.

I decided to play a little bit of this game, since haven't done that in about 9 months or something. I found out that I had stoped playing in the middle of an Ace difficulty playthrough and took my chances with this mission. After shooting down the Yellows, it came down to Me vs Yellow 13, what followed was a 4 minute dogfight of me trying to go head-on, then taking some distance, climbing and trying to get a small lead on him, just what I needed. In the end, I was flying extremely close to him (5 through 9 feet at best), trying to gun him down. It was extremely satisfying to finally get my trigger on him long enough to destroy him, an experience more intense than anything Assault Horizon could trown at me. Truly one of the best games I've ever played.

What sucks is that all the Yellow planes are marked as "Yellow". You have no way of knowing which is 13.

AC 4.5 and zero is still fantastic these days... Even with outdated graphics it's still very beautiful visually
