i was hoping to see how to fetch changes from another developer on their feature branch to my feature branch using fetch instead of pull so i can more selectively apply the changes instead of auto merging.

I would be able to actually understand it if git switch was not involved. I have to go to other material to understand git switch. :(

Nothing was explained. Commands were entered. Then those commands were verbally repeated with zero explanation. Then more commands were entered. I watched a video of someone entering commands and nothing more.
