Ebike Problems Fix - Controller repair replacement

One of our hire bikes developed a problem after getting excessively wet.
The dash lights up but there's no drive to the motor. We tried a working controller off another bike in the fleet and it works fine on the bike, narrowing it down to a faulty controller.
I have tried to source the exact controller with no luck, so after much looking i've found one with 90% same spec. Only one block connector doesn't plug in directly, it has the same 6 coloured wires, so we solder on the block off the old one on to it.
It works to a point, but not perfectly, so it's off to the pro's. I'm keen to know the problem so comment below and hopefully a solution will emerge.

This is why I used dual mode sensor/sensorless controllers.
Also, stay away from jst connectors. Waaay too fiddly and when one goes bad, you have replace the whole lot. You're much better off having an individual bullet connector on each hall sensor and throttle connection

the reason is the syncronisation is not good between your hub motor and your new controller. Which means you need to figure out by try and fails which colour combinations are matching now. So the original 3 wires and 3 sensors inside the hub programmed differently in the new controller. so the right sequence need to be found by simple tries. exchange the cables till the nornal torque is back.

Just fitted a new cyclotricty ebike
kit with a display LED 890 and it’s show a flashing just one light and not the full battery level. I have tried a new LED a different battery, a new system cable. Also tested these on another bike and all working. This is a real head scratcher

Hi. I just got a Lectric Xp about a week ago and the back tire is locking up. I loosened my brake calipers and it will move about 2 feet freely and lock up again!

For starters, that bike looks heavy AF, seconds the Box section in the frame where controller box sits is probably not water proof, and for afters:- that controller box in the frame could do with a gasket or silicone sealer in it before the four bolts go in…

Hello maybe you can help me I have a problem on the headlight of my e-bike: it is always on but weak, when I turn off my bike, the light is a little bit stronger but still very weak, it is impossible to turn off the light unless I remove the battery. When I put the battery back, the light is again always on and weak. Is it a problem from the headlight or from the controller ? My bike is a Lankeleisi X2000+

hey... i have 36 volt 500 watt hub engine front wheel kit that i bought for 6 years ago...it started to cut and stop when im climing...never done that before..so i thought my batteri was finished..so i bought a new 36 volt 10.4 amp..but it still keep stopping when it get to a hill/climing..so im woundring what is wrong..? could it be the controller..the wire seem find..and when it stopes, everything shuts of..so i have to restart or wait about 30 sec.. thankfull for all help::)

my controller stopped working correctly after getting wet. narrowed it down to problem with my 2 pin wires for my brake sensores as well as throttle not responding. trying to narrow this down but i cant figure out how to test this as the wires are all rediculously random and zero information. im ready to just buy a new controller and be done with this but the company i bought this through has made it next to impossible to test anything on this thing or have any info to make a sound purchase to a new controller. they tell me i have to buy theres for 189 and its just a basica 48v controller with oem blocking speed controll which im not having. do you have any idea how i would go by buying a new controller and still working with my display? this company has upset me massively as im now stuck and they basically leaving me with no info. sorry for the rant

Please help me with some information: how can I remove the speed limit from the controller from an electric scooter?
The person who sold it to me does not have a license and had a speed limit from 100 to 35 Km / h.
I have allowed and I want to remove this limitation.
I tried unplugging the Hall sensors, but it doesn't want to work at all.
I disconnected (+) and (-) from the sensor supply and no speed change occurs.
I disconnected the white wire that comes out of the motor wheel and the speed does not change.
It is a scooter LUKAS TWO 125 Italy 2008, 1800 W.
I was told that two wires must be glued to the controller at the initial position they had before the speed limit, but I don't have a diagram and I don't know which wires.

I was wondering if you could give me some insight into the problem with my e-bike. I have an electric bike that shuts off after a few seconds of riding. In both cases, using the pedal accelerator or the throttle control button, it happens. The bike display indicates the battery is full and there are no issues.
