50 Tips for Gas Zones in DayZ 1.14 | Contamination Zone Tips

I've been asked a lot of questions about the new contamination zones mechanic in DayZ 1.14, so I decided to convert my answers to those question into tips for the gas zones instead.
This video contains 50 tips for the DayZ 1.14 update about contamination zones.

Gives 50 tips in about 7 mins instead of 7 videos that are 20 mins long... You are the best!

If you favorite your gas mask filter in your equipment wheel you can see it's bar percentage actively moving when consuming in gas and this works for combat gas masks aswell

You should be able to make Improvised Respirator Canisters with a Can, Duct Tape, ane Charcoal Tablets. Punch small holes in the can with a sharp object, fill the empty can with Charcoal Tablets, and seal it with Duct Tape. Gives you 5 minutes in the chemicals. Lot of steps and one whole new item (empty can or something) but it'd be neat to make more things improvised.

I was inside the Gas zone with a Buddy and had all pieces but boots, became cut 2x and bandaged to 0, but regaining 2 bleeds. I exited within 5 minutes and started giving myself Saline bags outside. I popped 4x Saline and then finally 1 of my own taken clean blood with a cocktail of MultiVitamines, Codine, Tetra and eventually after losing my blood down to Yellow, Coughing up blood, puking blood it actually went away to NOT SICK status within about 10 minutes. Luckily I had all the bags on and my own blood but maybe this is something to test as I did actually survive.

These updates they adding more is almost making a story for the long time players.

Start with complete lack of society, no outside involvement, just wake up on the coast and battle zombies and other survivors.
Now, there are random gas events (outside involvement of trying to liberate areas of infected eith toxic zones).
Next? Possibly AI? Actually factions of groups moving in?

Would feel more like the Old Mod again, newer graphics and animations/tracking, but playability of Arma2.
Finally would be where dayz should have got too

Remember, if you're in a gas zone and your boots are near destroyed, put your repair kit in your hands and drag the boots to the repair kit!
The boots will stay on but be repaired!

The only thing I don't like, is basing inside of the zones.

Also you can find NBC gear pretty often at fire stations as well.

I've been playing for around a week and abit.just survived a surprise gassing.I ran out the area, had 2bleeds.I fixed them then popped a vitamin.I still had an illness to I read online about getting blood transfusion.luckily I'm a bit of an overthinkDr and had a bloody with IV attached.I used it and I'm cured now.

Wish there was an oxygen tank, that would prolong your stay in the infected zones, with the penalty of not being able to wear a back pack. That way, your lootingnisngonna be linited, vut you have a lot more time. So you could coordinate with your friends, about where things are, or probably bring the stuff to them.
