I’m an old lady and everybody has always used Dukes in fruit salad where I’m from. We do add a little sugar to get that sweet and tangy flavor.
Also ALWAYS wash your fruits and veggies. You don’t know who’s handled, coughed or sneezed on them in the store.

MAMA!!! Cool Whip, condensed milk, and cream cheese!!! Mix those smoothly first then fold in the fruits!

I'm 70 and my sister is 80. Growing up our grandma made for Sunday dinners drained fruit cocktail and torn up iceberg lettuce with mayo as the dressing. Mixed all together and chilled. We liked it. Now my au.nt would cut up bananas and mix with mayo. Looked yucky but was ok if you were hungry. In those days men ate first, then women and then the kids. When we grew up we changed that routine. Kids and the oldest wentt first and the rest just got in line after them. Kids and the elderly don't eat much. Blessings to all ❤

She doesn’t wash ANYTHING and with E-Coli from the manure fertilizer, just crazy. No it does not get washed at the store AT ALL!!! 😮 My 90 yr old dad just got E-Coli from salad and almost died. 😮
