D22 Navara EGR Block // YD25 & ZD30

Hi guys,

Some of you have asked for a video on how to block your EGR and so I've put this video together to show you how its done and give you a bit of information on why you should and should not block it off.
In the end, the choice is yours as long as you're aware of possible repercussions.

Can you show us how to do the swirl mod on the zd 30 so it keeps your butterfly valve always open and sucking fresh air

Hey mate, quick question - is the exhaust gas flowing through the pipe towards the blanking plate you installed or does it flow from the blanking plate end of that tube through towards the passenger side of the car ?
I’ve seen other videos where people have blanked off both ends too - is this required too or only at the end you blocked off ?
Would you do anything different with your set up ?
And can you do one showing to you set up your catch can please ?

9 months on, have you still got it blanked and would you do it again ?
I want to know - where does all that gas go now once it’s been blanked off ? It must go somewhere .... a bit like a circumcision for your car 😆

You said you blanked the EGR in two places (on the YD25 I assume) so was the second blank put at the other end of that elbow shaped tube - where it connects to the cooler core of the EGR pipe?

Hey mate, I'm still wondering if I blank the egr do I still need a catch can? Or just the blank and it's all done?

Hey, dude. I pierced a hole in the pipe you loosened, just before the blanking plate. So fumes are escaping before the block. The question is, can I block the EGR from the first part you loosened instead as well to stop fumes escaping?

so if the cpu is expecting a ceritan amount of flow from the egr is the engine running rich, eg over fuel relative to the total volume of air input? as there should be a small volume of air contaminated exhaust gas added to the air intake.

Searched the entire web and cannot find a yes or no answer. Does blanking the egr produce more soot out of the exhaust. (I’m a red p plater and want my zd30 patrol to soot😂)
