Hey Everyone! In this video, we'll be going through how to take derivatives of implicit functions (called implicit differentiation). In this calculus 1 tutorial, we'll be going through four different example problems where we find either y' or take two derivatives and find y''.

To simplify problem 4 even more, you could factor out a -3x^2 out of the numerator which makes the numerator -3x^2(x^4+y^4). Now from the start of the problem we know that x^4+y^4 = 16, so we could actually just substitute a 16 for that x^4+y^4. Doing that, we'd get a y'' of -48x^2/y^7. I don't think this is necessary simplification, but it is something interesting to point out and possibly look for when solving some of these y'' problems.
