Im from the uk and its honestly crazy to see how insane american politics are. The church needs to be separate from politics! How is abortion up for debate? How are LGBTQ+ rights up for debate?? Its just mad! I feel bad for you guys, make sure you get out and vote

My SO never cries we've been together for nine years, and in that time, he's cried maybe three times...
he works in a male dominated field.
I'll never forget the night he came home crying because one of his coworkers was told the only way she'd get the promotion she deserved and needed was told the only way to get it was to sleep with the boss after about three months of trying to get it the proper way through hard work and ethics she finally drunk herself into a stupor in order to lay with the boss. She was, in fact, promoted two days later. This was within the last 6 years. This is still happening ppl don't close your eyes to it.

My favorite part about the absolutely horrific situation in afghanistan is the Taliban *just* started enforcing laws like “men have to have fist-length beards and always attend mosque, no jeans or western hairstyles” and *now* they feel bad for not speaking up sooner. When it is literally illegal for a woman to speak at all in public. Or go out alone, or have any of her own money—literally the reason Islam was able to flourish in the beginning, because Muhammed’s own first wife was a businesswoman who was wealthier than him—and now, modern day men in Afghanistan are regretting not saying anything sooner.
