The fourth and final lecture of the River Campus Libraries' 2020-2021 Neilly Author Series, which occurred virtually on April 22, 2021.
Catherine D'Ignazio & Lauren F. Klein spoke about their book Data Feminism in which they present a new way of thinking about data science and data ethics – one that is informed by intersectional feminism.
Catherine D'Ignazio is an Assistant Professor of Urban Science and Planning and Director of the Data + Feminism Lab at MIT.
Lauren F. Klein is an Associate Professor in the departments of English and Quantitative Theory & Methods and Director of the Digital Humanities Lab at Emory University.
This lecture was co-sponsored by the University of Rochester Women's Network, Goergen Institute for Data Science, and the Mellon Graduate Program in the Digital Humanities.
