Supercell Airflow Test | Oneida Air Systems, Inc.

Показать описание
In this video, we test the airflow (CFM) of the Supercell's high pressure system against three different competitive dust collectors, including a traditional 1.5 HP two-stage dust collector, a traditional 2 HP single-stage dust collector, and a larger wet/dry vacuum.
One by one, we test each dust collector's airflow using varying port sizes and hose lengths. The Supercell is the only system that can adequately clean the 2 - 2.5 inch ports found on a majority of today's benchtop and portable tools.
Summary of methods:
- CFM = Velocity (FPM) × ID Area of Pipe (Sq Ft)
- Same test pipe and pitot tube used for all tests.
- The pitot tube was positioned to measure maximum airspeed for each test.
- Tests were run back-to-back over two days under similar temperature and humidity conditions.

I appreciate this type of comparison. This is the type of info we need to make an informed decision. I just wish you would have added the dust cobra to this. Big jump from shop vac to supercell so would like to see how the intermediate option stacks up

Great comparison! I've been enjoying the upgrade from my original Dust Deputy to the new Dust Deputy 2.5, used with my 5hp shop vac. Though this is in a higher price bracket, these numbers blew me away! I may have to start saving my pennies for the Supercell!

So it seems for a small and simple 2.2KW hobby CNC router, the shop vac with one of your Dust Deputies are good enough .

I am excited about this collector, but you are comparing collectors at very different price points. I would love to see it compared to the clear view collector at a similar price

why does the turbo cost 700 dollars more and just has one more motor in it? Seems like a lot of cost just for one extra motor.

Is CFM really the relevant calculation? Or is it CFM@ a given static pressure? I'm trying to understand the differences between this and collecter better.

How does it work for non-wood chips? I work with a lot of plastics which generate long ribbons but sometimes a finer dust. with a woodworking background I've been eyeing the supercell since the day it came out, but now that I work with plastics more I'm worried I'll be buying a new filter all the time!

Can you turn the suction down for sanding, or would you need to vent it at the tool connection?
