during that 6 months in 2003 after seeing 'reloaded' me and my buddies at work used to discuss the matrix within a matrix and how many levels there could be pretty much every day. good times!!! Great video!!! keep up the awesome work!!!

Awesome! I've been looking forward to you guys talking about this one.
However one of the biggest clues is when Neo and Trinity reach out to each other, in the real world, there's an orb of light between their hands and that same light also appears in the simulation when they touched.

Also the red pills now use mirrors to traverse the simulations and Neo used a mirror to enter the "real world" in the same way

I think matrix within a matrix is exactly what's happening. Time passed much less in the actual real world as I see it, which we have yet to see..

This is how I understand it too. It’s all code, even the ones labeled as humans. The simulation runs cycles that allow human code to have experience in different situations. One experience is the real world escape to Zion, just another environment in the matrix. There are no real humans living outside the matrix; the world outside the basis of the simulation, but we have no way of knowing what it’s really like because we don’t see it. For all we know, it could be fine and humans created the matrix themselves.

I thought about this but when they say “part of Smith and Neo overwrote each other’s code” I assumed Smith’s code was able to manipulate machines in the “real world”.
This enables Smith to exit the Matrix and Neo to control any machines that are part of the machine city anywhere, inside or outside of the matrix..
I appreciate they never answer all the questions.

An explanation for neo's powers in the real world In my opinion, is that we all know that neo and other humans that have holes they aren't purely human, they're somewhat like the androids in dragon ball z like android 17 and 18, so I think since they have electronic parts inside of them, it connects them to the machines even without being plugged directly.

the matrix is soo deep, that even i once thought that even the "real world" was still in the matrix, but wouldn't that mean NO ONE ever woke up from their pods and all was pure digital coding ?!?!

Also, nothing like the wireless connection was ever explained in the story so we are just kind of an inventing it to make the story work. The Matrix within the Matrix is actually the simpler and more elegant answer.

The fact that Neo had powers in "the real world" was either poor writing or a dead giveaway that "the real world" is just another simulation.

It’s the only thing that makes sense. It’s just a constant loop and cycle that’s probably going to continue. I think the matrix is ok with more people waking up. In the newest movie it seems like everyone is becoming more advanced. And just updated characters as it goes like reincarnation. Same spirit different body. It’s never going to stop.

Guys should know that, this is a very pivotal message the movie wanted to actually give to the real world, our real world. How the game plays out.

The answer is of course yes. The only question is whether the next layer up is our present reality outside the movie, where Neo would awaken to the reality that he's Keanu Reeves, or whether it's some fictional world still within the film that hasn't been shown on screen, which will come down to whatever Wachowski's intent is. So there is a higher reality, it's just a question of one layer of higher reality or two layers of higher realities.

This inevitably leads to the question of whether we exist in a layer of reality that's underneath some higher layer that goes infinite layers up. I would say the answer is found in experiencing nirvana, which takes you all the way outside of all realities.

I always thought the third movie should have been Neo waking up in a huge cavern full of pods, walking around, finding Morpheus, and waking him up.

"Shall we see just how deep the rabbit hole really goes, old friend?"

I think the machine war itself is part of the simulation. Will unknown layers above and below.

What would be interesting is if all previous Matrices still existed and hosted those humans who didnt reject their version. All 6/7/8 versions of the Matrix still running? That blows my mind!
