I worked at Borders Books from 2005 until its very end in 2011. If they were still around, I'd probably be a store manager or general manager by now 😅

Blockbuster not buying Netflix is not a blunder by any definition of the word and only people who lack the context of the time think it is. Netflix was a failing DVD by mail service that was losing money by the millions. Streaming didn't exist and wouldn't for another few years in a very limited capacity. If you own a retail chain, would you want to buy a competitor that was hemorrhaging money whose entire business model would mean less foot traffic in your stores and cut into impulse buying?
