Good message. A sad takeaway is the breakdown of the family and the emphasis on Mom - AKA single mom. Where’s dad? Because in two parent households of means with the dad providing, that dad often provides a LOT for well-off young men to help in being successful. It’s Dad giving that loan for the first house, it’s Dad providing the start up investment for business endeavors, it’s Dad getting the son on his feet and making the connections. The only reason it’s seen as a negative here in self-reliance is it’s Mom. With Dad, this is simply seen as the transfer of generational wealth.
You want to be in the position to shape your future where you can be the man to do this too.

Great message again Hafeez. For me when I hear respect it's like a piece if sand in my shoe. It just runs the wrong way, and yet I know that we all need to respect and be respected. My ex has pounded the word respect so hard that it lost it meaning. I can respect I have to see that you are respectable. You have to deserve my respect and not throw it at me.
