Almond and I love that I am a good person who cares for others instead of trying to put others down. I don't understand bullies and how you can feel good making someone feel bad. I have endured so much pain growing up and I want to be a voice to younger people that there is a light at the end of tunnel and to trust in God.

My eyes are also between round and almond! I think more towards round. Something I love about myself is my skin I was blessed with skin that only breaks out on occasion and I love my ability to recreate eye looks.

Great video but you can have a combination eye shape. I have upturned almond eyes. I know people with downturned monolid eyes and hooded eyes, slightly upturned round eyes, etc. Also you didn't cover bulging, deep-set, close-set or wide-set eyes. That also makes a huge difference. It's not an exact science!!

I love how you're giving examples of perfect make-up tips according to eye shapes, but I feel for eye shadow, it would be even better and more helpful if you did different eye lids rather than eye shapes. The eye shape video was some what helpful because I believe I found my eye shape but after watching the make-up tutorials I am back to square one, my eye lids are nothing like the models so the make-up definitely doesn't look as nice on me as they would on the models. Just thought I'd share my experience with the videos and make-up. 😊

Omg! I always thought that I had round eyes but they're actually almond. Wow, this really helped. No wonder why I hated eyeshadow looks on me.

My eyes are different from all the eyes on here. They are sort of round, but also sort of up turned. They have a larger visible mobile lid with a visible crease and no hood. Let's just say I have a nice amount of space for eyeshadow haha

Yayyy! I finally figured out the kind of eye shape that I have! I have...(drumroll please)...upturned eyes (according to the line test)! It's always been hard for me to describe my eye shape and I feel like MUA's in the past have always told me that my eyes are round or almond because those are the most common haha. The angle of my upturn is slight, not as distinguished as the girl in this video but definitely noticeable when I take a closer look! So awesome! Thanks Smashbox!

For people worried that their eye shape fits more than one catergory that is perfectly normal.
For years I believed my eyes were almond, as no whites are visible apart from outer and inner corners at all times, however i could never understand why they seemed to slant upwards too much especially when eyelashes are curled back, Google Kendra Powell another makeup artist, she uses a quiz to help you determine your true eye shape and she explains why you definitely can have almond eyes that are positioned upturned.
Smashbox have all the types correct and the looks for each shape are absolutely perfect.
It is just that determining eye shape like true eye colour is a very complicated process, my eyes are naturally green blue /sea green, like most eyes they change colour due to different external factors, however blue green /green blue eyes appear to change in colour
more than most, they flash through all different shades due to makeup, clothing, lighting and food or drink.
There is definitely an art to all of this you just need to keep researching, it is just a case of trial and error.
