Your reviews and shows are Fantastic! Big fan of yours in the U.K. Thought your Victory in Europe review you did when viewing that game! was hilarious! Great job!

Every time I watch this video, I think "how cool would it be to get one of these -- especially Julius Caesar or Napoleon", and then I watch the epilogue, laugh, and say to myself, "My nerves couldn't handle stickering all of those blocks. . . "

Also, I find the sticker applying process to be oddly soothing. Is it just me?

What ! “No Rommel in the Desert”. If you haven’t tried it you must give it a go. It will take a few plays however to get a sense of the great game it is.

The only Columbia game that I played(once) is Quebec 1759. As I am French-Canadian, I might be a bit bias but I really like that game and I have use it to teach our history to my son. Of Course, he won with the British on the last turn in an epic battle on the Plains of Abraham.

Napoleon (Older Version) is the only one on your list I have played. I did convert it to 4th Ed which I have not played yet. Great Game. I also love the Front Series & Rommel in the Desert. I would like to try Crusader Rex & The Civil War Series.

You mentioning round maps reminded me of a game that had a Kickstarter a while back called The War Room. Have you heard of it? It is being developed by Axis & Allies designer Larry Harris, and might be up your alley...

Also, I'd love to see a video of your top block games, not just those from Columbia.

Have you played Hammer of the Scots? Your video has taken me down a Columbia Games rabbit hole and right now I'm trying to decide between HOTS and Julius Caesar. Really torn on which to go with.
If you or anyone else has experience in these two and can share opinion, thanks!

I would be curious if this was still your number one.
I have heard great things about Richard III and Hammer of the Scots.

Great list, Cody! Have you played Napoleon's Triumph? How would you rate Napoleon's 4th ed compared to NT? Which do you enjoy/prefer more?

I played the AH Napoleon block game... very good. I'm fond of Columbia's Civil War block games... LOVE Combat Infantry and can't wait until the next segment comes out. ***IF you want a hoot with this "blind' try....see IF you can manage this (I'll use Chess as an example)...three chess boards, two sets. Set up the chess boards so all the black and white squares correspond. Set up the black pieces on one side, the white pieces opposite. In the middle set up the complete game (all colored squares corresponding) There is a REF who tells each player what move can be legally done, where they can "take" a piece or not. When a piece is taken... the player has no idea what piece they took. It really changes your perspective on the game...all three players take turns being the REF. I'm sure you could transfer this to a block war game... maybe utilizing the "Battle ship" mechanism of calling out squares. Hope you get to do this soon.

No mention of Harn? I get that he's a boardgamer, but not even mentioning one of the three or four most detailed RPG worlds in existence is kind of a big skip.
