Thank's for showing how to hotkey units. I didn't know when I first played the campaign years ago, and haven't been a frequent player. I only figured it out last year, when I started watching your videos. Pretty good beginners guide

WTII, I learned how to play much better from just watching your videos. Found you like 3 years ago when I searched Warcraft 1 playthrough videos, because I no longer had the war1 disc. Anyway I thought you were hilarious, and awesome. I quickly started watching more of your videos, and now watch your videos, and or stream almost every day. I've watched about 1500 of the videos now, and you are my main source of entertainment, quite often pick watching you over movies and TV shows. I'm glad that when I played multiplayer 8 or so years ago that I was on US East and not Europe. Because if I had been in one of your games back then you would have raged so hard at me, XD. I vividly remember playing a game where I creeped two small camps, then sat in base till tier 3, massed 100 food, and quickly attack moved directly into like 3 enemy's and lost everything. Had no real concept of the game, had no idea what macro and micro were. Honestly had to use cheat codes to finish the campaigns on normal, I was so bad. But I loved the Warcraft games and the story. I'm still not great, my average apm is below 100 without spamming, but I'd say I'm still 100% better thanks to you, and I can hold my own ok in 4v4. Side note that I'm sure you already know about but if you have apm displayed, it will show on the replay even for the other players if you click on one of their buildings or units just like it will show you their gold or wood throughout the game, I found this rather funny because I feel like I get the same 4v4 players you get. I had lost a game, so I watched the replay, and clicked my teammates, they had like 20 to 30 apm! Whole game, no wonder we lost! Anyway I know this is a long YouTube comment, but I hope you get the chance to read it. As always thanks for the entertainment, games videos and everything. Hopefully they fix reforged, and you will be able to still make videos, and hope we can still play custom maps even with what seems to be blizzards attack on customs.

For beginners : don't forget to disable formation, it will help you when you're chasing or running away from ennemies with units going as fast as possible instead of all going at the slowest pace possible

I'll just throw my thoughts on this. You should probably use a replay for the next guide you're doing.

The problem is, the further you're going down the game, more things to keep in mind and explain pop up. That causes you to speak a lot faster, which is harder to follow. With a replay you can just pause and take your time to explain. You could even explain how this tech is going to help you, in more detail. For example; "Troll Regeneration makes my Headhunters more tanky by increasing their natural health regeneration. This is good, because they are my main damage unit that my enemy wants to focus." Elaborate how this certain thing/unit/tech might help with a build or a strategy that you are not currently showcasing in the video. For example; "Shaman Bloodlust increases my Headhunters attack speed, which increases their damage output. It also works extremely well with Wind Riders, which are not part of this build order."

When you're instructing on the build order, you should elaborate why you're doing what you do. Why you're getting certain techs. Why you're getting certain buildings. For exampe; why do I need a Great Hall? Why do I get Troll Regeneration? This would help new players to not just do things because it must be done, but to understand WHY certain things are done. That helps them to apply that knowledge when learning new build orders.

Otherwise, it's good to see you're doing a guide or two. I've been watching you on YouTube for over two years, and never played WC3. I have played SC2, so RTS games aren't completely new to me, but got interested in Reforged and so, I'm trying to learn the game.

If you're making this for new players, I would recommend slowing down when you went over the options and stuff.

I'm terrible at melee so this is going to be very helpful, so glad you made something like this!

Are you gonna make other videos concerning particular strategies + build orders (like Pala + Rifles, DL + Ghouls, etc.)? Also, are you gonna talk about base blocking and other mid-to-advanced tactics? I've been following your videos for years and I'm very convinced on buying Reforged to play again this game that made my childhood, but eons has passed since I last played it and I was more of a Campaign player anyway, so... every little tip could help! And btw, keep it up with the amazing contents!

Thanks for this build. I used this on booty bay and it worked in my first attempt against the PC.

This build is more effective personally for me than the other 2 rush builds:
Fast riflemen, ghoul rush.

Ghoul rush is the hardest. Fast riflemen is mid level.

But this orc build is the easiest and most effective.

great guide overall, but there NEEDS to be much more videos like this, for example map guides (item drops, creep routes, important contested items in shops, etc.). also wanted to ask if your old build orders videos are still reliable, or are they outdated by meta. Thanks a lot, if we want more players we need to decrease the learning curve exactly by these videos. maybe add a visual representation to when building base in next videos

I feel like for newer players, introductory gameplay mechanics would be better than the live demonstration. Omit focus on specific abilities (unless you feel you can categorize them based on use), and have a generalized approach.

Here's a list of generic stuff I've thought about that would be helpful to know in a generalized guide, omitting all information that differs based on faction. Some of these were already covered but I figure I'd include them still.
- Unit formation (spread vs clustered)
- Rally points both in and outside of base (so that fresh units don't sit in base while army is out on skirmish)
- Macroing units/structures
- hotkey familiarization (I think you covered this in another vid already, including hotkeys to quickly move the camera)
- simple and complex creep camps and any generalized strategies (tower/building baiting, leashing and unit blocking to kill specific creeps)
- mercenaries and tavern ressing heroes
- neutral shops
- TP scrolls, salves, mana potions, any generic shop items available to all
- Reasons to have multiple/fewer heroes
- Tech focus and the impact on the game (why you go for an "all eggs in one basket" approach to tech for early game)
- when to sell creep camp items vs using them
- When to expand bases and where to expand
- Tell people trees are destructible so that when a unit rallies into a box, another unit destroys trees to free them vs destroying and rebuilding
- uncertain if you'd cover them, but armor and damage types and how they work
- Unit blocking the enemy to prevent escape
- Prioritize enemy buildings (what to go for first--Towers? Unit production? Altar? Hamfist their main base?)
- Late game and how to spend your resource pile you're amassing (excessive unit production and their buildings for faster builds, upgrades)
- Unit upkeep and when to go from medium to high upkeep
- Air superiority vs grounded force (mostly just speed of your army flying over terrain, baiting TP's, faster reinforcement etc)
- Zeppelins and their micro of dropping units and picking them up quickly for harassment

I love your videos and I'm so looking forward to seeing your WC3 reforged tutorials and games!!! Also super looking forward to seeing you macro allies who leave game early-- despite how garbage and strained it makes you feel, I always find them super impressive when you pull them off, even if you usually use them to rush one Unit. Seeing you use a squad of 4+ heroes is fuckin cool

After watching occasionally your videos for few past years, and after so many years from playing W3 (mostly campaign and custom game modes) I decided to try play normal games (ladder right?) and today after testing this strategy on bots I gave it a try in multiplayer and... first game and win :D Thanks for the guide. I know it's probably noob strategy af and it can be countered easily but after learing this strategy/build order/meaning of units it's easy for me to understand most of the things in other races too. I just hope W3 will be on gamepass soon so more people will be playing Warcraft 3 (especially noobs like me!)
