I thought he was going to be less likeable after all he's been through, but he still has that "friend telling you a story" feel. If anything, confessing that his old specials were the product of being high on coke combined with a compulsive need to be liked, made him more relatable.

I was in a place with people going through rehab. You are all brought right down to the same ground floor of emotion and life. People probably recognized him but when you're going through that the last thing you care about is celebrities. You're hoping to make it through the day.

Why did I just start bawling when the credits rolled and it had the list of his friends from the intervention and the caption "thank you for saving my life" .

I went from chuckling for an hour to.. tears.

Been waiting for years for another special, there's only so many times I can rewatch the others lol

"Fucking (starts to laugh)NO ONE knew who I was....and it was driving me....BA-NAN-NAS!"
He still manages to sound like that nerd trying to be a class clown who manages to be hilarious by being TOTALLY genuine about how nerdy he is. COVID, Rehab, and he STILL ain't lost his touch

I have so much respect for this man, that he can talk so openly about these stuff, he is a strong man and he doesn´t know it

"I'm not much, but I'm all I think about" said just about every addict ever. He's funny!

I believe the other rehabilitating people were respecting John's recovery process by not acknowledging his fame.
