Age 70: chronic knee and hip pain, figured there was a knee replacement soon. Started the deep squats -- pain gone in knee and hip in about 3 weeks. Now do 10 - 20 per day and can stay down for about a minute before I feel uncomfortable, also now getting very low where when I started barely to the sitting position. Shows never too late to start. Thank You!

Thank you for this. I am a 64 year old man, and watched this video in a deep squat !! I started doing it a year or 2 ago. At first I could barely do 20 to 30 seconds, but I persevered. I think my record was 8 mins one time, but I generally just do 2 to 3 mins, 2 0r 3 times a day. I make a point of doing it if I have been sitting for some time. i.e if watching a movie in the house I will do it once or twice during the film .

My trainer said he always knew which people had lived in Asia as squatting was a natural form of movement. Quite true! I lived in Malaysia and squatting is not a problem, even at 81. I perform squats with a Kettlebell, and the exercise is called Goblet squats.

At 68 years old I’ve largely substituted deep goblet squats superseted with db deadlifts instead of heavy back squats………at my gym I've seen many in my age segment still grinding out heavy back squats and waddling around in a Neanderthal stoop………mobility and joint health is paramount at this stage of life…..

I'm 45 & I had gotten lazy for awhile.
One day I got down on the floor & couldn't get up. My son had come & help.
I felt completely helpless, that's when I started exercising again. That incident was pretty traumatizing to me, very scary

Am 71, squat everyday WITH elastic bands. I have arthritis due to aging and from the family history, but doesn't bother me much. Yes squatting is good but it's not the only number I exercise to help aging process. Any exercise will do but depending on each individual with the level they can reach. Swimming is an excellent exercise for seniors tooand other resistance exercises are needed and very important. The elastic bands are not expensive (cheaper than your prescriptions drugs). I woul recommend everyone to use it. I see a huge result after only a few weeks . Squat with bands 👍👍👍the best thing you can do for the body. Try and you know what am talking about

I’ve had a degenerative knee issue since I was 7. I’m 41 this year and I can still do deep squats but I’m very careful and slow while doing it. I’m trying to keep my knees as long as possible and I think exercising has helped me significantly but I’m not sure for how much longer, I’m hoping I’ll be ok for at least 10 more years 🤞

Im 59 and jog also do some other strengthen exercises....i can do deep squats and can stay in that position for a couple of minutes....im amazed at the younger people who can't do a deep squat im talking about people in there 30's and can't walk up five flights of steps no wonder young people are diabetic, high blood pressure, so obese, and take medication for it...on a fast track to heart disease also i try to tell them in a nice way to start doing some form of exercise if all you do is walk do that...can keep obeseity from taking over....i have exercise since 14 years old and know beyond a dout the only way you can stay health as you age is to do some form of exercise on a regular routine for the rest of your life...just preaching...

I had chronic back pain and squats, I will say cured that problem, as I have not complained about my back in 4 years. I am 52 years old and had chronic back pain for about 15yrs while in the Army and 8 years after.

Deep squats fixed my knee pain problems attributed to poor tendon and ligament flexibility in my knees. 66, btw.

Had knee pain most of my life until I started doing deep squats about 5 years ago. Between sets at the gym, I often take that position for a minute or 2 until I am ready for my next set. I'm in my 70s.

I just tried the deep squat exercise. Needed a bit of support upto the third count but I did the remaining eight counts without support. Thank you. ❤
