Teen struck by car rushing to mother's aid | FOX 5 News

A 15-year-old has a long recovery ahead of him after family members say he was dragged by a car while helping his mom. Witnesses say it happened last Monday outside of Charles Drew High School in Clayton County.

So awful. Prayers for him and family. I learned have to be careful at Walmart. I was almost hit by a suv yesterday who was flying and didn’t even stop to let me cross. It was beside Walmart near the pick up order. I just had got out physical therapy which is close to there and trying to cross to get to my van. I even looked both ways. I couldn’t even sleep to good last night. Thank God I stopped in time. Prayers for this guy. 🙏🏻

The truck that hit her and kept going should be charged.
Unfortunately, it seems that the vehicle that hit her son did not see them until it was too late. Says that person stopped. I am sad for him that he lost a leg. All his dreams of football are done.

Still confused how this happened though. The car must have been in the middle of the road. Also, the person may not have been able to swerve into the next lane.
