Everything you said is facts 💯... I love the feeling of driving a manual... I live in NY and traffic does not bother me at all that’s how much I love manual

All these new dual clutches just make driving fast too easy. I also feel like your more likely to speed accidentally in an automatic whereas in a manual your more aware of your speed due to changing gears and being more involved.

Great video. Last year I was able to buy my m3 as it was also my dream car with a manual transmission. I def have to say that from personal experience that it was not hard to learn. I have never driven a manual transmission car before, but few YouTube videos and driving my car for a week, I was comfortable. Now it’s been a year. I am good but still need more experience. I have trouble occasionally from 1st to 2nd. Otherwise love my manual f80.

I’m 31 as well. And I’ve had manuals pretty much since I started driving and was always a die hard manual fan. But I gotta admit, after driving both Manual and DCT back to back for about a month (wife works for bmw) I decided to order mine in DCT. The car just feels so much better as far as power delivery, and shifts. I will admit that the manual is a lot of fun but that was it. There was not really that special feeling I was looking for. Felt a little plain and assisted and not like my old manuals. However when I got into the DCT and gave it time to really learn the Gearbox characteristics I truly believe this is an amazing gearbox for this platform and just fits it so well. Now I understand why they don’t make a mclaren, Lamborghini, Ferrari in a manual nowadays. But great video man. At the end of the day, the only right spec, is the one that makes you happy and that’s all that matters. Also I’ve subbed to your channel. Would be dope if you would check mine out. I drive a 2020 M4 ZCP

I have owned my Manual-Shift Alpine White 2015 F80 M3 for 1yr 1month now and whenever I'm not driving her I'm literally daydreaming of driving her, rowing thru the gears, hearing the crackle of the exhaust as I'm cutting the curves of my Tennessee hills at speeds that would make Mario Andretti smile.
Yes, I'm a serious Gear-Head/car nut. I named my M3, EmMa and I am in love w/her.
I drove my first stick-shift/manual at age 8. It was my granddad's '72 Chevy pickup w/a 350 V8 & the "3 on the tree" column-shifter.
Me and my bros are older gen-Xers who take our driving seriously while having as much fun as possible. One of my friends has a 1971 Camaro SS w/an M-21 "Rock Crusher" 4-spd manual, vintage muscle car style. He just put a built 454 big block in it & it's his daily driver, my bro dont play-lolz.
We love seeing the younger bros choosing the manual/stick-shift cars esp these days when it's much harder to find them.
Love your Bad-Ass M3 & your vids, bro.
If you're able, one of these days you need to hit up the Blue Ridge Pkwy and seek out the "Tail of the Dragon"(I'm sure everyone here knows it). An infamous, curvy stretch of scenic highway between North Carolina & Tabcat Creek Bridge in my beloved Tennessee. There are constant streams of motorcycles there but sports cars are always welcome. Even if the Dragon's Tail is too crowded you won't have to work hard to map out an awesome route for fun, exciting driving all over Middle & East Tennessee.
You & my other M Series bros are always welcome to come to Tennessee to seek out a great driving experience.

Just picked up a gray f80 with the amaro brown interior & stick shift last week. In love also puts a smile on my face everyday. 55k on the engine. 2015 big step up since I sold my e36’s

I manual shift my ZF8 with XHP tune so I still feel engaged and not in LaLa land in full automatic. I drove a big truck for several years and driving a manual would remind me of that so paddle shift auto it is. Sport+ 24/7 for me. 😂

Funny I was at cars and coffee this morning and was talking about this with a BMW shop owner in Raleigh, NC. He had a manual f80 and sold it to get a dct one. He said he enjoyed driving the manual better. I love driving my manual. #savethemanuals fr

I have been looking for reassurance that the manual on the F8x M cars is the way to go and this solidifies it. With M cars being so quick these days, the only thrill with the DCT or ZF autos is driving them 100% but with the 6-speed, slowing down a bit, turning off the radio, listening to the engine, shifts, etc, that's the way to enjoy a car on a daily basis (and of course save yourself money from speeding tickets).

I have a ymb f80 manual. I had an e46 manual years ago as well. These cars as best suited with a six speed.

I had a DCT 18 M3 comp and I was looking at the G80 or F87 M2 CS. The decision was easy, I went with the F87 M2 CS and after nearly a decade of no manual, I got it in manual. My last manual was a honda civic SI and a s2000 before that. The BMW manual COULD be better, but not going to complain. Getting that connection to the car again has been amazing. I do miss aspects of the DCT but I'm not a drag racer.

I’ve been driving manual all my life and always preferred it for performance cars but I was extremely disappointed in the manual gearbox in the F80\F82. It’s very rubbery and not as engaging as you’d expect. It’s almost as if the manual transmission was an afterthought in these models. The 7 speed dual clutch auto transmission, on the other hand is amazing in these M cars. Way more engaging, more spirited and ultimately more fun to drive . Makes me feel like I’m driving a F1 car :p

I've never owned a manual car and that's why I tend to gravitate towards automatic. I don't have much experience with manual. Nice video bro!💪

My future daily will be a 6MT, not sure when or what, but I can’t wait lol! The intro cinematics were insane ! The quality looked like 8k 😂🔥 & blocks your fiancé from driving 😩😅

I won’t lie. I don’t understand why anyone would be attracted to a M2/3/4 and not want the manual. Life’s greatest mystery.
