When lockdown is over Metallica need to perform this version live and 100, 000 Metallica fans need to step from side to side clicking their fingers. Then we will know that the world is a good place.

Huey! Huey, it’s Marvin. Your cousin! Marvin Lewis. You know that new sound you’re looking for? Well, listen to this!

And thus, a new sub-genre was born: Huey Metal.

You like James Hetfield and the News? Their early work was a little too thrash metal for my taste. But when And Justice for All came out in '88, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, heavy sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Ozzy Osbourne, but I think James has a far more rough, cynical feeling to his songs. In '91, James released this; Black Album, their most accomplished album. I think their undisputed masterpiece is "Hip To Be Sandman". A song so catchy, most people probably don't listen to the lyrics. But they should, because it's not just about the pleasures of rest and the importance of religion. It's also a personal statement about the band itself.

Nobody will ever convince me this isn’t the best mash-mix ever.

The heart of rock and roll is still beating.
And nothing else matters.

This song is so catchy, most people probably don't listen to the lyrics. But they should, because it's not just about the pleasures of conformity, and the importance of trends, it's also a personal statement about the band itself.

Even non-fans have to admit that that was clean. It's mind-bogglingly clean.

I think the best part of this is Huey Lewis just at the mic smiling and being a backup dancer for James Hetfield of all people.

The reason this works so well is because Huey's drummer can actually keep time.

It's amazing how the musical background can change the perception of a vocal melody: in the original, Hetfield's vocals sound so angry and powerful, here they sound so happy and cheerful.

We had our wedding DJ play this late into the reception. There were quite a few puzzled faces but people were still movin and groovin. Thank you!

This is an undisputed masterpiece. It’s so catchy that nobody listens to the lyrics, but they should, because it’s just just about the joys of conformity and the monster under the bed but a personal statement on behalf of both bands!

Bill, I’ve played this on my radio show 3 days in a row due to demand. Phone starts ringing every time I play it. Fantastic!

I hope that people appreciate not only the amount of work involved in a mashup like this, but a certain level of perverse genius to conceive of it in the first place. As always, beautifully done!

My favorite part of these kinds of remixes is I never know when they're gonna throw in a good ol James Hetfield "YEA-HEA"

Metallica's career really came together with the Tower of Power brass section.

This is what was going on in Bateman's head, when he was murdering Paul.
