Kirk Hammet once met Michael Jackson during the filming of The Unforgiven video back in early 90s. He wanted an autograph of MJ and later MJ actually even sent one to Kirk's home. Kirk was very suprised that MJ didnt forget about it .. it's even here on youtube somewhere ... and Metallica also played Beat It and several ocassians ...

That riff sounds like a little part of Lonely Is The Night and it sounds kind of like the Black or White riff, but it also shows up in a thousand other songs. Probably why they were having so much trouble trying to figure it out. 😊
