Just moved to Idaho from California. We lived in Brentwood near Concord and i drove in to San Francisco every day for work. We moved to Idaho Falls and absolutely love it! No mor 4hrs on the road to work an 8hr shift. People are nice, cost of living means i get to retire at 55 not 60. My wife is having so much fun and she has her high school friends who live here. The best choice we ever made! Starting my own knife business after being on forged in fire. Time to have some fun.

I'm in Washington and disgusted with the oppresive nanny State laws. They are more worried about gun owners who mind their own business, than the insane homeless problem and crime. It is irritating when people leave a blue State and try to change a red State.

My great great grandfather settled here in Idaho from Sweden when Idaho was in its infancy and made a ranch here that still stands and works to this day. And is in the family. Got passed to his son then to the next son and the next and the next till my grandpa inherited it who was drafted to the military during the Korean War he was a corporal and soon he was honorably discharged due to his wounds in active combat and spent the next 80 years of his life on the ranch and farm. A wife and nine kids. My family is bound to Idaho and no doubt will always be bound to Idaho for life. I’m just a greatful grandson who is glad for Idaho and it’s people. It’s a beautiful state with beautiful sights and in my opinion is a state seemingly more untouched by the volatile political climate at least in rural Idaho. Those who come here no matter who you are will always be treated with kindness and care and respect. That I can guarantee. We keep to ourselves in the best way. We love our neighbors and are always courteous and kind at least in my experience growing up here and before anyone asks it’s not racist here. I’m black and have always been treated with kindness and love and yes even by the police. The police here are also of good stock and have good hearts.

With respect to all from me - A Simple US Army Engineer Idaho Native.

Very appealing. I'm sitting here in San Jose, CA paying sky high taxes for failing schools, open air drug markets (excuse me, "tent encampments"), and rampant crime. You NEVER see kids playing on the street and we live in a nice area. Neighbors (even ones with kids the same age) don't wave or say hi. My neighbor moved to Idaho last year and so did his two sons with their families.

We want to move because our state has many people moving here from other states and changing everything we love. They have thousands of people and yes many from California, alot of nature has been removed taxes are higher cost of living sky rocketed and most who lived here can no longer afford to. The area and state is becoming exactly what people who left the other states left them for.

I moved to Twin Falls from 55 years in Las Vegas Nevada. I have loved every minute of the 3 months of living here. People are kind and friendly and the city is just beautiful. I thank Jesus for allowing me my heart's desire to leave Sin City and live in a city that is so nice.

Please PRAY for our family to try to move to Idaho! I would ask for God's blessing on our family. We are having so much trouble getting out of California! It seems like we are being "blocked" so if I could ask for blessings and prayers that our family can GET OUT of where we are personally (here in San Diego) and find more CONSERVATIVE CHRISTIANS who connect with the family values that I was born and raised with. I cannot find anyone left in my area who shares my personal beliefs in God and Country! 🦅 (I tried to add an American flag emoji to this post and it is not there. Anything American symbol emojis are just not there!)

No offense, but this is nice couple who are trying to justify their move, and not sounding very convincing. This is staged promo by a realtor who sees the boom ending. Boise is boring, it's dry, and the winters are very cold. Traffic in Boise is now HORRIBLE. No, trust me, you're not going fishing, hunting, hiking everyday just because you moved to Boise, you'll do what you did before you moved there. I have a sister who lives in Boise and hear her complaints all the time. I live in California and heard that my retired neighbor is leaving Boise and moving BACK to California.

I'm an ex Californian who moved to Idaho via Oklahoma. I visited many places and actually lived in Jenks Oklahoma for 6 months. My daughter moved here to Meridian Idaho and I then followed her. Best decision, ever. This place is clean and feels safe. I had an Amazon package on my front doorstep for 1 week without it being stolen. In Oklahoma it would have been stolen within an hour. It's funny about the DMV. The DMV in California AND oklahoma are a living hell experience. Looking forward to Idaho's DMV, haha. Getting utilities set up was a snap. The clerks answer the phones and are polite. My internet provider actually cares about doing a good job for their customers. Wow, I have to pinch myself.

I was born at Mountain home airbase and my career in the Air Force took me to many states. I retired in California and plan to move back to Idaho or northern Utah. Hope it don’t get too expensive for a master sergeant.

I just can’t bear being here for 5 months of harsh winter and wait for June to go hike or camp, lakes …they don’t even have enough water parks here. It’s mostly outdoors place lakes and mountains and hunting and fish but I’m not hunter or fisher soo thata no for me. I mean traffic is what is is ….. u can’t escape traffic in other states unless Wyoming. Idaho is almost 2m is going grow and which is not going be same anymore so there be traffic now
