This short OBS tutorial shows you how to test stream quality on OBS without going live or using a test account. It is a simple process that uses the 'Bandwidth Test Mode' and Twitch Inspector website (link below). The process can also be carried out in Streamlabs OBS using the stream key.

If you don't see the stream key option you will need to disconnect your Twitch account from OBS and then it will appear separately 👍

This helped a lot for bandwith and bitrate settings control, but I would like to actually see and hear my stream prior to going live. Is there a way to view your test stream?

0:47 Using OBS version 27.2.4 and "Enable Bandwidth Test Mode" does not exist. Is that only for Twitch? I'm using YouTube.

A second method for test streaming on Twitch, nice video. So it's this or create a dummy account.

in step 2 of run a stream teest. How and where am i supposed to paste the code after stream key ? because i dont see it in OBS

HELP. I just stream using xbox x no computer. I have a basic camera that i need to check and adjust the zoom before i go live alot, However, i have to go live to adjust it and see on the stream with my tablet if it is adjusted right. Unfortunately my followers are getting notifications that I'm live every time. And i dont know how to turn it off so they don't have to watch me adjusting shit. How do i fix this issue where can i turn it off momentarily/
